Responsibilities
- Strong business development and project pursuit skills
- Strong team player and team leader
- Leverage larger Honeywell teams to ensure strong relationships at all levels, including senior levels of the customer organization
- Collaborate with Honeywell teams to tailor solid value propositions to specific pursuits
- Engage early in the pursuits
- Develop and sustain long-term customer relationships
- Meet quarterly and annual target results
- Collaborate with Honeywell teams to identify new strategic opportunities
- Act as the focal point and be responsible for pursuits until contract negotiation and closure
- Work with customers at all levels, including executive decision-makers
- Frequent travel required (50% of the time)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 10 years of experience in solution sales within the automation industry
- Proven success in the industry, business, or sales environment
- Experience in building and maintaining relations at various customer levels
- Experience in complex sales, including early engagement in the customer buying cycle at senior levels, building long-term strategic and executive relationships, team selling, and opportunity planning
- Marketing and project management experience is desirable
- Strategic leadership and authoritative presence
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work well in a matrix organization with country and business units
- Establish credibility and respect internally and externally for self and Honeywell
- Disciplined, responsive, and reliable in commitments
- Hungry to win and achieve results (hunter with a consulting approach)
- Leadership qualities: leading others toward goals through influence, organizational knowledge, and networking
- Knowledge of customer business, understanding customer needs, and strategic thinking with solid account management planning
- Ability to win new customers and expand footprint within existing accounts
- Approach all levels within customer organizations
