Job description

The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.

What you will do:

  1. Account management with the goal of increasing customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth
  2. Achieve a quota of $800,000+ of contract value within a territory of major client accounts
  3. Master and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology
  4. Account planning and territory management
  5. Manage forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  6. Maintain competitive knowledge and focus
  7. Deep knowledge of Gartner's products and services

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. 8-15 years of experience with proven consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with a record of prior success in sales
  2. Strong intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen
  3. Proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations
  4. Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills
  5. Knowledge of the full sales cycle
  6. Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
