Job summary

Penta Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Teradata Data Mart & Semantic Layer Developer for a remote contract role in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will design, develop and enhance semantic layers and data marts within Teradata, supporting critical reporting and BI initiatives.

Key work includes translating business requirements into scalable data models, optimizing SQL and Teradata BTEQ scripts, and collaborating with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics and Business teams while upholding data

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in semantic layer and data mart development in Teradata.
• Strong Core Banking and Financial Services data model understanding.
• Advanced SQL development and Teradata/BTEQ scripting.
• Able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in enterprise data warehouse environments.

**Teradata Data Mart & Semantic Layer Developer****Location:** Saudi Arabia (REMOTE)**Contract Type:** Contract**Industry:** Banking / Financial Services**Overview**We are seeking an experienced Teradata Data Mart & Semantic Layer Developer to join a large-scale banking and financial services programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing semantic layer and data mart solutions within a Teradata environment, supporting critical reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.**Key Responsibilities*** Design, develop, and maintain Semantic Layer and Data Mart solutions within Teradata environments.* Translate business and functional requirements into scalable data models and reporting structures.* Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and Teradata BTEQ scripts.* Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.* Support the development and enhancement of core banking and financial reporting data models.* Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to enterprise data governance standards.* Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and Business teams.**Required Skills & Experience*** Minimum 4+ years' experience in Semantic Layer and Data Mart development within Teradata projects.* Strong understanding of Core Banking Data Models and Financial Services Data Models (FSDM).* Advanced expertise in SQL development and Teradata/BTEQ scripting.* Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.* Strong understanding of business processes and data requirements within the financial services and banking sector.* Experience working in enterprise-scale data warehouse and analytics environments.* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.**Preferred Experience*** Previous experience delivering data solutions for banking or financial institutions.* Exposure to enterprise data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.* Experience working in Agile delivery environments.If you are an experienced Teradata professional with strong banking domain knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions, we would love to hear from you.
