Job Description

  • Keeps the Assistant Security Manager/Director of Security informed of all security-related matters. Depending on the distribution of fire, security responsibility coordinates with the Director of Engineering in this matter.
  • Liaises with management personnel and all employees, assisting with security problems and loss control.
  • Liaises with local law enforcement and fire & safety officials.
  • Maintains proper grooming at all times.
  • Attends training classes as per schedule.
  • Shows full cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
  • Is aware of daily activities and has product knowledge of all hotel facilities.
  • Trains security employees in all resort regulations and factors affecting resort operations, including fire prevention, safety procedures, basic firefighting, lifesaving techniques, crime scene preservation, actions and duties when crime is detected, crisis response, report writing, public relations, and psychology.
  • Supervises the daily processing and distribution of security reports to management.
  • Keeps all records and reports concerning security matters and resort business confidential.
  • Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
  • Continuously evaluates possible security threats.
  • Coordinates with the engineering department for regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment.
  • Supervises that all employees use the proximity card reader at the security post at the staff entrance.
  • Controls access of contractors, visitors, and suppliers; issues and manages visitor passes.
  • Supervises all security posts, including CCTV room.
  • Ensures all staff are familiar with the resort’s emergency procedures and prepared for emergencies.
  • Executes regular technical skills training.
  • Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager books daily and takes corrective actions concerning security.
  • Reviews security logbook daily and takes necessary actions, informing the Security Manager.
  • Maintains a monthly overview of security staff vacation and holiday balances.
  • Familiarizes with all relevant company documentation, especially the Operational Standards Manual.
  • Updates the emergency manual with procedures and forms in consultation with the Security Manager.
  • Regularly trains employees and newcomers with live fire drills.
  • Conducts skills and technical training within his/her area of responsibility regularly.
