The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team.

The position involves designing, installing, and integrating security systems, including but not limited to access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance systems.

The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work across all related disciplines, from technology research to system design, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades. They should have in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and capable of delivering results on time and within budget.

The SPM is a key member of the APMEA Security team, reporting to the MEA SPM lead. The role includes supervising compliance with physical security standards, managing physical security projects, serving on cross-functional teams, and being a subject matter expert in physical security.

The success of the SPM will be measured by their contribution to developing, implementing, and commissioning standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region, focusing on customer service, access control effectiveness, and protection of data, employees, and visitors.

This includes:

• Providing technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects, coordinating system design specifications and change management with internal teams and external vendors.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensuring compliance with physical security project standards, scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• Designing, developing, and implementing solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and change outs.
• Supporting security system equipment commissioning, including final testing and acceptance.
• Building and deploying training programs for users of physical security systems.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3+ years of experience in end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
• 3+ years of experience driving process improvements.
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at various organizational levels.
