Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female School Nurse to provide comprehensive health services and support to students in our educational community. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting student wellness, managing health-related issues, and creating a safe and healthy school environment conducive to learning.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. or related field preferred.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience working as a nurse in a healthcare setting, preferably with pediatric or adolescent populations.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent health issues, developmental stages, and common medical conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, school staff, and healthcare providers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care.

Responsibilities :

1.Provide direct nursing care to students with acute or chronic health conditions, injuries, or illnesses, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assessing symptoms.

2.Conduct health screenings, assessments, and immunization reviews to ensure compliance with state health requirements and identify students' health concerns or needs.

3.Develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHCPs) or emergency action plans (EAPs) for students with specialized healthcare needs, in collaboration with parents, physicians, and school personnel.

4.Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, or other lifesaving interventions as needed, following established protocols and procedures.

5.Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students, including documentation of assessments, treatments, referrals, and follow-up care.

6.Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and support staff to address student health and wellness issues, promote a positive school climate, and support academic success.

7.Participate in interdisciplinary teams, committees, and school-based initiatives related to student health, safety, and well-being.

8.Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in school nursing, pediatric healthcare, and public health.
