SpecialismProject Management / Operations / Strategy
Manages and supervises the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures for oil and gas facilities, refineries, offshore platforms, and petrochemical plants. Ensures all work meets safety regulations, load-bearing requirements, and project specifications while maintaining efficiency in high-risk environments.
- Plan and coordinate scaffolding activities in accordance with project schedules and turnaround requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine scaffold configurations and tie-in points.
- Inspect scaffold materials and installations to ensure compliance with ASTM, OSHA, and site-specific safety standards.
- Supervise teams in constructing complex scaffold systems, including tube-and-coupler, modular, and suspended platforms.
- Enforce fall protection measures and conduct daily safety inspections of guardrails, toe boards, and access ladders.
- Implement and maintain scaffold tagging systems to indicate inspection and usage status.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams during simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
- Ensure safe work practices in hazardous and corrosive environments.
Diploma or technical certification in scaffolding, construction, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in scaffolding supervision within oil and gas or industrial projects, preferably in KSA or GCC.Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Subpart L, ANSI/ASSE A10.8, and ASTM standards.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and load calculations.Experience with scaffolding in hazardous areas, including offshore and petrochemical sites.Excellent leadership, safety management, and communication skills.Certification in scaffolding supervision from a recognized body (e.g., CISRS, SAIA) is an advantage.
