The Driller is primarily responsible for safe operations, repairing drilling equipment, daily reporting, well control practices, and providing guidance to work crews.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates core values and safety standards according to the H&P way
Ensures the safe operation of the drill rig, related equipment and personnel that come directly under their control and complies with federal, state and territory health, safety and environmental legislation
Supervises and provides expectations, goals, and training for work crew personnel regarding rigging up or rigging down, day to day operations, and company policies and procedures
Supervises operations to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and established procedures by their assigned rig crew
Maintains drilling rigs clean and in proper order
Prepares and submits drilling operations reports
Ensures safety equipment is in proper working order and in the appropriate locations.
Supervises repairs of equipment
Operates rig and systems from control panel to maximize drilling and tripping efficiency; supervises operations on the rig floor
Monitor and ensure proper well control practices are followed as per H&P operating procedure
Up to date on current Workday trainings as assigned DRILLER

Proficient with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook and Totco/Pason and IADC report
Must have proven leadership skills

In conjunction with site management, is responsible for implementing safety and security measures for protection of:
Personnel against threat or injury
Company property and assets against loss from sources, such as fire and theft to include intellectual property and proprietary assets
IT software and hardware
Provides regular updates and reports and works closely with site management
Ability to consult with crews and optimize safety and productivity outcomes
Apply relevant Saudi legislation as it pertains to Drilling, HSE obligations and expectations, reporting, audit
Ability to effectively work in indigenous environments
3+ years of rig drilling experience
Certifications
H2S and respiratory fit
Stuck pipe training
Well Control
First-Aid
CPR
Education
Completion of a high school or GED equivalent
Work Experience
6 years of drilling experience
Languages
Fluent in English (Ability to thoroughly understand, speak, read, and write English)
