Job Description

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Buyer with minimum sales experience to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our Marine business. His responsibilities will include receiving inquiries from our Marine Clients, locating & negotiating with suppliers, issuing & processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with the operations team to deliver the required items to clients. The Buyer/Sales Rep will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on clients' demand.

The Buyer/Sales Rep should be analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to customers' requirements. Minimum knowledge of sales and marketing principles is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
  • Build relationships with clients & suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Receive customers' inquiries & process requisitions and update management on the status of orders.
  • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Arrange transport of goods to clients and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
  • Assess quality of products received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business (Supply Chain Emphasis is Recommended).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Marine operations is preferred.
  • Territory Location: Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
  • Proficient in appropriate software (ERP).
  • Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
