Responsible for achieving hotel targets by optimizing revenues through an assigned account base, as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets. Assigned markets may change according to hotel needs. The key measurement of performance will be performance versus the revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key accounts on an assigned account base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets, and increasing fair market share versus competitors.
- Prospect new accounts.
- Manage all segments within assigned geographical markets, which may include, but are not limited to, European markets.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Adhere to the Corporate SOPs.
- Follow up on tentative bookings in the assigned markets.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the competitor set.
- Understand all services provided by the hotel and relevant hotel facts and figures.
- Ensure timely contracting with the client base.
- Use SMART contracting to optimize yielding during annual rate negotiations.
- Attend trade shows, sales blitzes, workshops, etc., in the assigned markets.
- Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in defining and executing the annual sales action plan.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget with account production statistics and forecasts.
- Execute sales actions within the set cost budget.
- Document all sales activities in SFA (Sales & Catering).
- Keep the OPERA contact database updated.
- Cross-sell other Kempinski Hotels.
- Understand and follow the Company Sales Vision.
- Participate in the Duty Manager rota.
- Follow all Rules & Regulations in the Employee Handbook and hotel policies on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
- Report and rectify potential hazards immediately.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: University degree, Hotel Apprenticeship, or Higher College Education.
- Experience: At least 2 years in a sales role, preferably in a 4/5-star hotel.
- Languages: Proficiency in the local language and English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Competencies: Planning, organization, adaptability, flexibility, initiative, negotiation, selling, innovative thinking.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Opera, Fidelio, and Sales & Catering systems.
- Individual Skills: People-oriented, passionate about European luxury, entrepreneurial, straightforward, detail-oriented, organized, problem solver, decision maker.
