Job Scope:

  • The Sales Manager role reports to Hotel GM. The incumbent will define, develop, and execute in-market sales strategies, tactics and action plans for the market. The key focus of this individual would be to achieve annual revenue targets, grow new accounts, maintain existing accounts, and build strong customer relationships thereby meeting the sales and revenue objectives.
  • Regular reporting and effective communication within Sales organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and achieve/exceed annual sales targets while maintaining an accurate track of the sales pipeline and revenue to ensure disciplined account management.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to expand our reach with potential clients (airports, airlines, banks, corporates, travel agencies, OTAs).
  • Build and sustain strong, long-lasting customer relationships; partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives, thereby growing both current and new business.
  • Develop and manage relationships with OTAs and IBE platforms to maximize visibility and bookings.
  • Optimize content listings (photos, descriptions, promotions) on these channels to ensure accuracy and appeal.
  • Analyze and track partners’ performance, and hunt for new key clients to identify business potentials and opportunities, ensuring regular maintenance of client account information.
  • Work closely with Aera Hotel Manager/Reservation and FO team to set competitive pricing strategies and Manage inventory across all online and direct booking channels.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market share through digital channels, including OTAs, IBEs, and social media platforms.
  • Regularly analyze and report on the overall performance, assessing ROI and adjusting strategies as Effectively communicate the company’s value proposition through proposals and presentations and maintain
  • effective control of the local sales budget and expenses.
  • Liaise with other internal departments such as operations, IT, legal, finance, and marketing to articulate clients’ needs accurately.
  • Understand the current competitive landscape for various company products and adapt sales strategies in response to market shifts to maximize company profit.
  • Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions, and ensure adherence to all sales procedures and processes.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Hospitality Management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in a hotel sales role, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Hotel Sales experience in Saudi Arabia is mandatory
  • Familiarity of online travel agency and channel management tools is mandatory
  • Cluster Sales Experience will be an advantage.
  • Understand the hospitality environment with strong network. Experience with Aviation or OTAs will be an advantage.
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English is required.
  • Ability to make decisive actions, multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Strong listening, negotiation and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to present and influence others.
  • Team player and able to collaborate across different business functions.
  • Travel may be required.
