Job Description
- Be familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company offerings and actively cross-sell when appropriate.
- Monitor competitors' strengths and weaknesses, providing weekly updates after visiting their hotels for tracking purposes.
- Gather market intelligence by tracking business sources and segments.
- Represent the hotel at trade fairs, functions, and related events as directed.
- Conduct sales blitzes in the local city or outstation within the designated geographic area efficiently and timely.
- Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment, and other operational areas as directed.
- Engage with prospective and existing customers across multiple departments for effective selling.
- Promptly respond to customer requests within 24 hours.
- Assist the DOS in exploring new market segments, preparing proposals for consideration.
- Develop strong, secure, and productive business relationships within the assigned portfolio.
- Maintain positive communication of the hotel image to existing and potential customers.
- Maximize revenues and control costs through proactive management.
- Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Increase hotel occupancy and average rate through creative and selective selling.
- Report monthly and year-to-date room night and revenue figures to the DOS, identifying revenue opportunities and action plans.
- Analyze industry and local market trends.
- Plan and execute cost-effective sales trips at least 45 days in advance, maintaining a calendar for deadlines and appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, accounts, and solicitation efforts.
- Engage clients during site visits and through invitations within their segment.
- Respond promptly to all correspondence related to inquiries, requests, offers, and confirmations.
- Prepare and submit weekly Call Reports to the DOS.
- Create monthly reports summarizing activities, prospects, trends, and competitor analysis, and attend monthly sales and credit meetings.
- Achieve key figures from key accounts and markets through strategic action plans.
- Negotiate and sign contracts aligned with official Rate Policy in coordination with the DOS.
- Conduct market surveys to advise management on current trends.
- Discuss and obtain approval for special deals outside guidelines and rate policies prior to offering.
- Familiarize with hotel emergency procedures and be prepared for emergencies.
- Understand all relevant company documentation and operational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned, respecting Rixos Hotels & Resorts' Core Behaviors: Trust, Relationship, Entrepreneurship, and Drive.
- Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings.
- Carry out any additional reasonable tasks as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a Diploma in Vocational Hospitality, with 3-4 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
