Job Description – Sales Manager / Engineer
We are the world's second largest manufacturer of Ductile Iron (DI) piping and are currently expanding our operations across Europe. As a result, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our growth in the Italy region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy and driving revenue growth in the water industry.
Reporting line: Country Manager
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research of competitive activity, potential areas for growth and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow market share.
- Identify key market opportunities and develop action plans to penetrate new markets and increase sales in the region
- Expand the customer base by identifying potential clients across the water / utilities supply chain.
Experience
- +5 years' experience in the water / utilities industry, ideally within a sales context in Ductile Iron Pipes.
- University graduate, preferably Engineering else any other major.
- Knowledge and experience in piping (Ductile Iron or alternatives) is required.
- Experience in B2B Government /Municipality Sales (project Sales) is required.

- Accomplished at deciphering client challenges, engineering creative solutions, and integrating them with product capacities to deliver tailored problem-solving approaches.
- Demonstrated aptitude in dissecting client dilemmas, engineering resourceful solutions, and harmonizing them with product potentials to yield tailored problem-solving strategies.
- Proven track record of establishing strong customer rapport through active listening, empathetic understanding, and precise customization of solutions to suit individual client ambitions.
