  • Prepare project Hardware Design Documents and generate Safety System Software.
  • Conduct project testing and coordinate with customer engineers.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Understand Yokogawa Safety Instrument System and apply knowledge for project and system engineering.
  • Understand project execution workflow and execute projects as per Yokogawa workflow under guidance from Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Understand major End Users Standards and Specifications and ensure projects comply to these Standards and Specifications.
  • Prepare project Hardware Design Documents including Specification and Drawings.
  • Generate Safety System Application Software as per project requirements and internal guidelines.
  • Reporting to the Lead Safety System Engineer on day-to-day activities.
  • Coordination with customer’s engineers for technical issues.
  • Support project lead engineer for project procurement activities including RFQ’s, PO Placement and subsequent follow up.
  • Coordination with document controller for control of project documentation and QC Engineer for Inspection and Testing related activities.
  • Conduct project testing including Cabinet Inspection, Loop Testing, System Test and Application Logic Test.
  • Site assignment for Installation Checks, Site Acceptance test, Commissioning and Start-up activities.

Qualification And Experience

  • Engineering degree preferably in Control System or Electronics or Electrical.
  • Minimum 04 years’ experience in the field of Control and Safety Systems.
  • Experience with Control System, Safety System or PLC Vendor as Project Hardware or Software Engineer.
  • Experience in preparing project Design Documents (Preferable).
  • TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification (Preferable).

Competencies

  • Good command of English Language (Written and spoken).
  • Organized and Systematic approach.
  • Ability to learn on Job.
  • Ability to work under pressure and extended hours when required.
  • Team Player.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of DCS or PLC hardware design or software.
  • Knowledge of IT basics and Microsoft Applications.
