The Saudi Development & Export Services Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Safety Officer to join our team in
Ad Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This is a
full-time position. The Safety Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors, maintaining a safe working environment, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organisation. They will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing safety training.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Deliver safety training and awareness programmes to employees and contractors.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and near misses.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a positive safety culture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Prepare and submit regular safety reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- NEBOSH certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia is advantageous.
