Responsibilities
- Implement and carry out Safety Plans and Recommendations to ensure safety for employees and users.
- Identify and recommend solutions for safety issues and areas for improvement to enhance safety and ergonomics.
- Report inconsistencies in work areas and suggest appropriate corrective actions.
- Participate in scheduled or unscheduled Safety Audits, documenting findings for review.
- Assist in Fire Evacuation training, including preparation and resource management.
- Manage follow-up records and requirements for Disaster Management and Emergency Plans.
- Promote Safety Awareness through sessions, bulletins, flyers, and other materials.
- Monitor and maintain fire safety equipment, ensuring their readiness and proper functioning.
- Assist in preparing Safety Plans, including safety equipment and tools inventory.
- Conduct on-site checks of fire alarms and firefighting systems.
- Support the use of personal protective equipment as per Safety Management System guidelines.
- Recommend methods for safe operation of plant and machinery, including regular checks.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of first-aid supplies and train staff accordingly.
- Disseminate health and safety policies to business leaders.
- Conduct regular safety training for staff and tenants.
- Coordinate with other departments and authorities for audits and remedial actions.
- Review controls for hazardous substances and risks from various hazards.
- Implement and train staff on risk assessment outcomes and improvement measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety processes continually.
- Stay updated with technological developments relevant to safety practices.
- Monitor and report on health and safety practices and incident reports.
Skills
- Experience with international companies is advantageous.
- First Aid Certification or training.
- Knowledge of NIOSH, OSHA, ISO 14000, ISO 18000 standards.
- Certification in OSHA, NIOSH, ISO Lead Auditor from recognized bodies.
- Skills in Risk and Hazard Analysis.
- Effective training, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Root cause analysis and investigation skills.
- Implementation of Kaizen methodologies, especially 5S in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 14000 or ISO 18000 standards.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Safety.
