Job description

Job Title: Safety Officer

Major Objectives of the Job: To coordinate the development and execution of Occupational Health & Safety work practices across the organization, ensuring compliance with OHS standards and implementing risk management processes. To provide administrative support to project management functions, including planning, to ensure overall project quality and safety standards meet customer requirements.

Suppliers:

Based on the projects secured in the region

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for all HSE requirements of Customers; should be on site full-time.

Key Result Areas & Performance Indicators:
  1. Safety policy compliance:
    • Conformance to HSE compliance at sites as per customer quality framework
    • Develop project-specific safety documents
    • Conformance to Safety Budgets
  2. Incident Management:
    • Zero incidents at site
    • Compliance with safety standards
  3. Reporting & Problem Solving:
    • Project reporting
    • Incident reporting
    • Non-compliance reporting
  4. Risk Management Meetings:
    • Attend all risk management meetings
    • Customer site/project meetings
    • Daily safety meetings
  5. Safety Policy Development:
    • For each project
    • Overall safety & risk assessment
    • Risk mitigation plan and execution
  6. Self-Development:
    • One general competency training program per year
    • One functional competency training program per year
