Eram Talent is seeking a Safety Officer specializing in Producing Safety & Environment to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations, especially within the Oil & Energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and compliant working environment, driving continuous safety improvements aligned with client standards.
• Conduct job site compliance inspections, including evaluations of Safe Work Practices (SWP) such as Work Permit System (WPS), Confined Space Entry, and hazard analyses.
• Develop and implement safety protocols for construction sites and field operations.
• Design and enforce hazard controls, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Review and update hazard control systems to align with industry best practices.
• Manage the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring proper risk assessment and mitigation.
• Prepare safety orientations and educational materials for staff and contractors.
• Analyze incident and damage statistics to identify trends and root causes.
• Recommend safety requirements for procurement and contracting, ensuring compliance.
• Monitor adherence to safety policies among employees and contractors.
• Support management in enforcing safety and environmental programs.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HSE, Science, Industrial, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years' safety operations experience, with at least 7 years in Oil & Gas producing facilities, preferably in the MENA region.
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and experience with Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) methods like HAZOP or Bowtie Analysis.
• Proven expertise in safety compliance programs, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training and conduct compliance inspections.
• Hold international safety certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent.
• Technical expertise in incident investigation, hazard identification, risk management, emergency preparedness, and safety management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership, excellent communication skills in English, computer proficiency, and project management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and handle significant challenges.
