Job Description

Job Purpose: To lead, develop, and implement health and safety programs that ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulatory requirements. The Safety Manager will play a key role in cultivating a strong safety culture, managing risk, and ensuring the well-being of employees, contractors, and stakeholders across operations.

  1. Develop and implement site-wide HSE strategies aligned with global safety objectives.
  2. Monitor compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and internal safety policies.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures for high-risk operations.
  4. Lead incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis is performed with effective corrective actions.
  5. Manage safety audits, inspections, and gap analyses to drive continuous improvement.
  6. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to embed safety into all processes.
  7. Ensure emergency response plans are developed, communicated, and tested regularly.
  8. Deliver safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
  9. Lead and manage a team of safety officers or coordinators at the site/project level.
  10. Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Additional Qualifications: Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 7 years, maximum 10 years.
