Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

JOB PURPOSE

The Job Holder is primarily responsible as the Safety Manager for supporting the Head of Safety. The Safety Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and governance of the Safety & Environmental Management System (SEMS) for safe operations.

• Act as the primary point of contact for safety management with all safety stakeholders, internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Manage the requirements of the Safety and Environmental Management Systems to ensure effective management and implementation across the entire operation.
• Manage the Safety Programme Plan (SPP), capturing all safety management activities, with monthly progress reports.
• Develop and implement Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Possess practical experience in systems such as aircraft maintenance, airworthiness, or aircrew training services.
• Experience in Hazard Management and Risk Assessment.
• Experience in aerospace product and support design, development activities, qualification, acceptance, and service delivery.
• Develop and apply engineering processes, organizational design, functions, and governance.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in design organizations, maintenance organizations, airworthiness engineering, and flying safety.
• Practical knowledge of the LCM and ELC processes, handbooks, and guides.
• Familiarity with BAE Systems safety and environmental policies and mandates.
• Ability to tailor safety management system processes to meet specific project requirements.
• Experience conducting investigations into safety incidents.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills, with innovative problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in producing safety justifications and managing safety evidence production.
• Knowledge of Human Factors and their application to Safety Engineering processes, providing guidance as necessary.
