Job Title: Safety Trainer

Job Description

  • Safety Training and Development: Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and management.
    Implement blended learning techniques and simulations to enhance the effectiveness of training sessions.
    Conduct regular safety drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
  • Safety Management and Compliance: Oversee and enforce safety regulations and compliance with OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, and other relevant safety standards.
    Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
    Prepare detailed reports and presentations on incident findings and safety performance metrics for management review.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a strong safety culture within the organization by promoting awareness and encouraging proactive safety behaviors.
    Organize safety awareness campaigns and initiatives to engage employees at all levels.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science (e.g., physics) and industrial or vocational education from a university or institute which is recognized as high-caliber.
  • Must have at least four (4) years hands-on experience in industrial safety management or as a safety trainer in oil and gas industry, petrochemical industry, heavy construction industry or plant facility operations, or equivalent.
  • Should have a proficient command of spoken and written English.
  • Certification in OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH or NSC Advanced Certificate.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial safety management and oil/gas plants operation and/or petrochemical industry.
  • Experience with instructional program which incorporates blended-learning or simulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
