Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Safety and Environmental Assurance Auditor who will be responsible for evaluating an organization’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. They will conduct audits, identify risks, and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and operational assurance.
This role will functionally report to the Divisional Head of Risk and Safety and will be expected to form an effective working relationship with Contract Managers, HSE Community, and Heads of Functions.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Talent and Colleague Experience team in all projects and deliverables.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections and monitoring of Serco and sub-contractors’ compliance in line with Serco standards.
- Ensure Saudi office compliance with regulatory and legal Safety and Environmental standards.
- Prepare and execute HSE Risk Assessments as required and review regularly.
- Attend local HSE events.
- Deliver Safety and Environmental training and awareness sessions for employees.
- Prepare safety and environmental communications and deliver HSE inductions for all new employees in Riyadh and other Serco Saudi locations during mobilization periods of new contract awards.
- Carry out safety inspections in customer offices where Serco employees will be placed for work purposes.
- Travel to customer sites where Serco operates and conduct audits and inspections as required.
- Track and monitor progress of ongoing audits and inspections.
- Generate necessary reports for the Head of Safety and Risk Management.
- Maintain the ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 certificates and any other certificates or accreditations as required in KSA.
- Exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions.
Specific Requirements
- Ideally a degree holder of Health and Safety Qualification or Safety Auditor Qualification or Environmental Auditor Qualification.
- Experience in analysing safety data for trends and themes.
- Knowledge of all the relevant disciplines and technologies associated with Serco Middle East Divisions.
- Knowledge of KSA Health & Safety and environmental legislation and practice.
- Effective communicator with good communication skills.
- Ability to deliver training.
- Ability to travel between sites in Saudi Arabia.
