Job Title: Safety Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Safety Engineer (Foreigner) with a proven track record in managing comprehensive safety operations in large institutional facilities, such as university campuses. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in implementing safety protocols aligned with international standards and capable of integrating defense-related safety directives to ensure a secure, compliant, and hazard-free environment for students, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and policies tailored for large facilities (e.g., universities or government complexes).


  • Enforce and align safety practices with defense and institutional safety regulations.


  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all departments and infrastructure.


  • Review safety documentation and verify compliance with fire safety, emergency preparedness, and hazardous materials handling.


  • Train staff and stakeholders on health, safety, fire prevention, and emergency response protocols.


  • Monitor and investigate safety incidents, accidents, or near misses, and implement corrective/preventive measures.


  • Collaborate with maintenance, facility management, and external defense authorities for safety coordination.


  • Maintain safety records, prepare detailed reports, and ensure documentation for compliance purposes.


  • Lead periodic safety drills and simulations in coordination with emergency services and civil defense.


  • Advise management on best practices, new safety technologies, and continuous improvement strategies.


Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Safety, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering).


  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent internationally recognized safety certification.


  • NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent safety training certification is mandatory.


  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in safety management, including at least 3 years in large facility projects (university campuses, military installations, etc.).


  • Familiarity with defense protocols and civil defense requirements in the Middle East (preferred).


Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of international and regional HSE standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA).


  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills.


  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills to interact with multicultural teams.


  • Ability to interpret technical safety drawings, reports, and instructions.


  • Leadership and team coordination skills to drive safety culture across departments.


  • Proficiency in report writing, MS Office tools, and safety management software.
