The Real-World Data & Evidence Science (RWD&ES) team, part of GBU Medical, specializes in applying RWE and data science to solve business problems using real-world data. We support medical, market access, and strategy & new product planning by sourcing data, designing evidence strategies, and conducting studies to generate impactful insights for patients, physicians, payers, and regulators. Our goal is to unlock value from real-world data and translate it into insights that improve health outcomes.

Main responsibilities :

The RWE Medical Lead, as part of the Medical Team, leverages expertise in health sciences, epidemiology, public health, and regulations to ensure the strategic use of medical evidence throughout the product lifecycle within the designated TA scope.

• Serve as the local medical RWE expert and liaise with global RWE teams to execute brand RWE strategies, especially during pre-launch and launch phases.
• Develop strategies for identifying, collecting, evaluating, and analyzing real-world data to support research initiatives and business objectives at MCO level, aligned with global strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify research questions and generate evidence-based insights.
• Design and oversee observational studies, registries, and other RWE activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Identify local data gaps and opportunities in partnership with global teams to address evidence needs from brand strategies.
• Manage relationships with external vendors for data acquisition and analysis.
• Lead data analysis and interpretation, employing advanced statistical and epidemiological methods.
• Participate in external scientific engagements to gather insights and promote RWE acceptance.
• Present findings at scientific conferences, regulatory agencies, and healthcare providers.
• Support local RWE upskilling initiatives and organize activities to enhance learning.
• Stay updated on RWE methodologies, data science advances, and healthcare data trends, integrating insights into projects.
• Contribute to the development of RWE strategies supporting product development and market access.
• Represent global RWE interests within the country medical leadership team to ensure alignment.
• Guide cross-functional teams on the use and interpretation of RWE data.
• Drive the execution of the RWE operational plan and foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making.

About you

Education :

• Advanced degree in life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or related field.
• Business or management education is a plus.

Experience :

• Leadership of RWE studies from concept to publication, including regulatory or reimbursement submissions.
• Experience analyzing data needs and sources for disease areas or products.
• Proven expertise in clinical epidemiology, public health, and epidemiological studies.
• Track record of strategic evidence generation and peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience across multiple therapeutic areas such as transplant, diabetes, cardiovascular, immunology, rare diseases, or hematology is highly preferred.
• Strong collaboration experience within complex global teams.
