Job Description

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer specializing in Compressors & Steam Turbines to join our Rotating Equipment Division (RED) under the Equipment Consulting Services Department.

RED provides high-level technical consultations and support to all company operating facilities, joint ventures, and major projects from early stages to startup.

The role involves developing value-adding concepts and technologies to address corporate challenges, enhancing operations, and maintaining Saudi Aramco's engineering standards and best practices for rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical consultations for equipment including centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
  • Specify and review equipment designs, selections, ratings, and specifications for new projects and modifications.
  • Maintain and improve standards related to compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
  • Develop and introduce new technologies and innovative ideas to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Lead in developing solutions for plant machinery technical issues.
  • Provide work direction, technical advice, and mentoring to team members and junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in rotating equipment, focusing on compressors and steam turbines in refineries, chemical, or gas plants.
  • Proven experience in performance analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of process gas compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes.
  • Knowledge of international codes and API standards related to rotating equipment.
  • Category II vibration analyst certification.
  • At least two recent engineering reports or case histories related to rotating equipment, including compressors and steam turbines.
