PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
To maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean rooms in accordance with the standards, and to offer efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble-free, and proactive service to guests. All work will align with departmental guidelines and service concepts.
TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide neat and clean rooms with high service quality.
- Collect daily worksheet each morning with applicable keys, and return it by the end of the shift.
- Keep bedroom door open while working in the guest room, and lock the door properly when leaving.
- Maintain supply cart and vacuum cleaner for maximum efficiency and neat appearance.
- Stock supply cart correctly in the morning and afternoon with linens, guest supplies, and cleaning equipment.
- Sort out damaged linen or linen needing rewashing and return to Laundry.
- Clean guest rooms daily according to policies and standards.
- Remove soiled linens and replace with clean ones.
- Remove trash from rooms.
- Clean bathroom areas.
- Dust all surfaces.
- Replenish promotional materials, literature, stationery, and room amenities.
- Vacuum rooms.
- Report any unusual circumstances to the Floor Supervisor.
- Report maintenance requests and replacement needs.
- Handle guest belongings with care, especially in stay-over rooms.
- Assist guests and other departments by removing food trays and trolleys.
- Report if a guest room has a 'Do Not Disturb' sign or needs linen changes.
- Complete full cleaning of rooms as requested.
- Attend to guest needs courteously and efficiently.
SAFETY, SECURITY, AND HEALTH
- Ensure safety, security, and confidentiality at all times.
- Keep master keys secure and return them after shifts.
- Prohibit unauthorized access to bedrooms.
- Report suspicious individuals and lost articles.
- Report hazards and defective equipment immediately.
- Be familiar with fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
- Protect oneself from chemicals and use protective gear.
- Work safely, especially when lifting or handling equipment.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance, and conduct.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Be punctual.
- Wear and maintain proper uniform and footwear.
- Use stockings, avoid nail polish.
- Communicate problems to the Floor Supervisor.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Be flexible with work schedules.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and report issues.
- Seek continuous improvement and share ideas.
- Provide information about hotel facilities and services.
- Be aware of union agreements.
