Company Description

Southern Province Cement Company (SPCC) was established in 1978 and operates as a share holding company. Initially starting with the Jazan Cement Plant, SPCC's continuous development has increased its production capacity significantly. Expansions include the Bisha Plant and the Tahamah Plant, serving high demand areas by leveraging local resources. SPCC is noted for its innovative approach and industry leadership in cement production.

Job Purpose

Managing and analyzing operational, financial, and strategic risks that the company may face, and developing plans and procedures to mitigate them, ensuring business sustainability and achieving strategic objectives with the least possible negative impacts.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a risk management framework that covers all activities and processes to ensure a balance between growth and sustainability.
  • Identify potential risks that may impact the company's operations by analyzing data and assessing directions.
  • Design mitigation and reduction plans for operational and financial risks to enhance the company's resilience.
  • Establish risk assessment standards and procedures in line with international best practices and standards.

Coordinate with various departments to identify risks specific to each department and provide appropriate recommendations.

  • Monitor compliance with risk management plans and prepare periodic reports to senior management on the risk status.
  • Define Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to track performance and priorities risks.
  • Review strategic and operational plans to ensure that risk management standards are included.
  • Analyze previous incidents and their consequences to determine their causes and develop plans to prevent their recurrence.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance Department to ensure risk management policies are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop emergency and crisis response plans to enhance the company's preparedness for emergency situations.
  • Review company contracts to ensure risks associated with partnerships and procurement are minimized.
  • Analyze the impact of external risks such as economic and political changes on the company's operations.
  • Develop Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to ensure the sustainability of essential operations during crises.
  • Monitor risks related to major projects and prepare reports to management on progress and potential risks.
  • Enhance a company culture of proactive and effective risk management at all levels.
  • Conduct training workshops to enhance employee awareness of the importance of risk management and how to deal with it.
  • Prepare periodic reports for the GRC Manager, outlining the performance of the Governance Department and suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Organize the workflow in the department, distribute work to its employees, coordinate their activities, and direct them to ensure that the specified objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform any other similar tasks or responsibilities that fall within the scope of his jurisdiction and are based on a mandate from the line manager.

Additional Tasks

1.Perform any duties requested by the direct manager.

2.Apply Total Quality Management requirements & procedures.

3.Apply all requirements of the integrated system of quality, environment, Safety & industrial health as per the requirements of ISO 14001/2015 - ISO 45001/2018 - ISO 9001/ 2015

4. Commit to the declared tasks in the emergency plan in case of emergencies.

Job Specifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. An MBA or professional certification (RMP, CRM) is preferred.

Experience:

From 7- 10 years of experience in the same field in industrial companies is a must.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Strategic Thinking:

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Computer Skill:

Excellent Proficiency in using all MS Office packages.

Language Skills:

Very Good command of English.
