Job description

Location: Saudi Arabia, (Jeddah or Riyadh)

Department: Compliance / Finance

Job Purpose:

The Risk and Process Manager or Compliance Business Partner will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the compliance framework within the Saudi Arabia affiliate. This role includes monitoring processes, supporting the Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) with on-site monitoring, and ensuring that all activities adhere to both corporate and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement compliance monitoring programs to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Participate in regular monitoring activities like monthly & quarterly monitoring and support in audit activities and risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability.
  • Provide insights into the affiliate process to enhance compliance and agility.
  • Implement the onsite monitoring plan designed by affiliate OEC and align with different functions that will participate and choose the samples for the monthly plan for onsite activities.
  • Assist in the execution of compliance training programs related to vendor assessments like ADCT, SET & EDD and will be MAP champion and coordinate any MAP responsibilities /changes related to the affiliate.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies that are developed by affiliate OEC to address identified compliance risks effectively.
  • Maintain risk management framework aligning with affiliate OEC directions.
  • Review 3rd party database to ensure that all contracts are matching with legal guidance and ensure updating the EDD records & vendor evaluation systems.
  • Implement ongoing monitoring practices based on EDD results to ensure that risk levels remain acceptable over time.
  • Follow up with cross functional teams regarding the identified system enhancements by affiliate OEC and support in process improvement.
  • Coordinate with cross function teams to ensure proper documentation and training records retention matches proper documentation guidance.
  • Ensure all compliance-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Act as affiliate legal champion & Act as an interface between the Affiliate and Regional Legal & Support in identifying contracting entities and signatories
  • Lead affiliate efforts to set-up MAP Contract Database Management, AbbVie Global system
  • Act the affiliate contract management coordinator namely vendor contracts liaison with PSM, Distributors with Finance and HCP/HCO contracts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or process management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with compliance management tools.
