An established industry player is seeking a Risk Manager to lead risk management initiatives across construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement a standardized risk management framework, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and best practices. Your expertise in both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis will be crucial in identifying and mitigating risks, while your strong stakeholder management skills will facilitate collaboration across departments. The Risk Manager will have a crucial role in ensuring that risks are systematically identified, assessed, and mitigated across all projects under the PMO s oversight and to be aligned with the PMO s goals of standardization, governance, and project success.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a standardized risk management framework for all construction projects under the PMO.
• Ensure risk management processes align with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Establish risk thresholds and escalation protocols for PMO-monitored projects.
• Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments across multiple projects to identify common risks (e.g., delays, cost overruns, safety hazards).
• Facilitate risk workshops with Department managers and members to identify project-specific risks.
• Use quantitative risk analysis (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivity analysis) to prioritize risks.
Develop risk response strategies (avoidance, mitigation, transfer, acceptance) and ensure implementation.
• Monitor risk triggers and early warning signs across projects.
• Provide consolidated risk reports to PMO management.
• Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure risk controls are effective.
• Monitor high-risk activities (e.g., excavations, crane operations) through PMO oversight.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Train project teams and PMO staff on risk management best practices.
• Conduct lessons-learned sessions to improve future risk planning.
• Benchmark against industry standards and update PMO risk protocols accordingly.
Essential Requirements:
• Relevant Engineering Bachelor s Degree, certified PMI-RMP.
• Minimum of 13 years experience.
• Risk Management Expertise (qualitative & quantitative analysis).
• Construction Industry Knowledge (contracts, scheduling, safety).
• PMO & Governance Understanding (reporting, compliance, standardization).
• Stakeholder Management.
• Data Analytic & Risk Modeling (predictive risk tools).
