Job Description: Rig Warehouseman

Carry out all duties in the safest possible manner and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly.

Maintain the warehouse inventory of spares for the rig and camp in accordance with procurement systems.

Provide security under safe lock and key of the spares inventory.

Ensure proper storage of all items, especially sensitive items such as BOP consumables, electronic components, and hazardous goods like paints.

Monitor maximum safe storage periods for items with shelf life limits.

Initiate proper forecasting for spares inventory or capital items with the department head at the rig site.

Update the rig inventory system to include spares for additional capital equipment installed on the rig.

Amend the Operational Asset Database (OAD) for the rig or cost center to reflect additions or removals in conjunction with the Rig Manager, Mechanic, Electrician, and Base Asset coordinator.

Arrange for Materials Transfers (MTs) for movement of materials to and from other SANAD rigs.

Ensure all purchasing is conducted ethically and monitor progress reports of outstanding requests.

Produce monthly inventory and financial reports of stock levels, issues, receipts, adjustments, and values.

Keep records of materials movements and inventory levels, issues, and produce reports for the Area Office as per fiscal reporting requirements.

Carry out receiving functions for equipment deliveries, unpack, and record into inventory.

Arrange for local purchases when feasible.

Develop, with the Driller, Mechanic, and Electrician, a list of items to be kept on the rig outside the warehouse for 24-hour use, and arrange for recording consumption and replenishment.

Conduct bi-annual audits of rig stocks and produce reports with recommendations to the Rig Manager.

Discuss upcoming rig operations with the Rig Manager and their impact on spares usage.

Secure all spares for handling and transit during rig moves.

Maintain personal training and knowledge of SANAD systems; provide on-the-job training for warehouse personnel.

Participate actively in Rig Safety Meetings.

Assist other SANAD business units as needed, and participate in routine safety checks and inspections.

Prioritize health, safety, and environmental considerations personally and for others.

Cooperate with the company and co-workers to meet legal and company requirements.

Participate in strategic, operational, and performance initiatives, and adapt to changes accordingly.

Perform any other activities as required by the company, both on-site and remotely.

Proactively seek relevant information internally and externally to perform the role efficiently.

Stay informed about the company's context and role to identify opportunities and challenges.

Contribute to the execution of activities to ensure work continuity in colleagues' absence.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience: Excellent understanding of inventory management practices; 3+ years of Oil & Gas field service experience in material handling.

Education and Certifications: Degree in a related field or similar.
