Job Description: The CONTRACTOR employee shall perform Rig Clerk services that shall include, but are not limited to, providing clerical and administrative duties in remote rig locations or construction site facilities. Provides relief assistance to Unit Head level and staff by providing daily office support for routine functions, including:

  1. Assists in the routine performance of office operational activities and is aware of routine policies and procedures.
  2. Receives incoming mail, sorts, logs, and distributes it to the concerned person. Receives outgoing mail, logs, and distributes to outgoing source.
  3. Types all kinds of correspondence, reports, and routine forms, as necessary.
  4. Receives telephone calls and visitors in a courteous manner. Answers routine questions or takes messages.
  5. Creates and maintains filing systems, records, and indices. Keeps reference files up-to-date by adding and deleting obsolete information.
  6. Maintains office supplies as necessary and operates office equipment as required.
  7. Maintains and updates system information for the daily timekeeping records of employees at the site.
  8. This position requires extended working hours and multiple shift schedules.
  9. Adheres to safety instructions and maintains site safety correspondence and records with up-to-date information.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate Diploma, preferably in any Engineering Discipline. A Bachelor’s Degree is desirable.
  2. Three (3) years of relevant experience, especially working at remote construction sites or rig facilities, or in an office setup.
  3. Able to work multiple and longer shift hours with patience and safety.
  4. Good understanding of English to enable effective written or verbal interpretation of data and messages. Should be able to type in English at 25 words per minute with 85% accuracy.
  5. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  6. Able to use Microsoft Outlook.
