Job description

The role of the Ride Technician is to perform a variety of maintenance tasks required by the technical maintenance team for each typology within the complex. Each task will be executed in compliance with SEVEN health and safety policies, in assistance with the Sr. Technician, and supervised by the Team Leader, for each ride and device installed at the complex level.

This role will involve active support during the installation phase onsite, working alongside contractors and manufacturers to execute SEVEN’s maintenance requirements, processes, and technical pre & post-opening requirements, ensuring operational readiness.

Managerial & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Active participation with operation department requirements on a day-to-day basis.
  • Safety awareness responsibility of the candidate and peers during task execution.
  • Work in alignment with best international safety practices and local authorities’ regulations in KSA.
  • Execute and monitor the technical requirements of rides/devices with support of peers in daily activities set by technical management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Comply with SEVEN’s technical maintenance requirements by implementing, executing, and recording maintenance activities set by management, under H&S policies and operations’ instructions across all typologies in the complex, including but not limited to:
  • Giving feedback for continuous improvement of all technical documents, including those defined by the manufacturer and designed by SEVEN’s Technical department (e.g., SOPs, technical manuals, troubleshooting guidance, evacuation procedures, PM checklists, REHAB, NDT schedules, etc.).
  • Supporting the implementation of asset management software and maintaining awareness of uploaded information.
  • Maintaining departmental spare parts/consumables and proactively supporting the Team Leader by providing feedback on stock availability.
  • Achieving departmental and company objectives, action plans, and KPIs to support the balanced scorecard approach and executive strategic plan.
  • Capable of fulfilling responsibilities of the Sr. Technician during absences.
  • Responsible for the preparation, execution, and recording of technical maintenance requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Executing and documenting corrective maintenance of attraction rides/devices daily in compliance with industry standards and manufacturer instructions; reporting findings to the Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
  • Executing and documenting planned maintenance of rides/devices per schedule in compliance with industry standards and manufacturer instructions; reporting findings to the Team Leader or Assistant Technical Manager.
  • Attending ride and device stoppages as reported; gathering information from operational staff and resolving issues safely and promptly; recording all corrective maintenance performed and reporting findings.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality in work execution, especially in safety-critical inspections and repairs, and ensuring correct documentation.
  • Assisting in ensuring daily operational readiness and annual reliability/availability of rides/devices as per company targets.
  • Assisting the Team Leader in ensuring availability of required resources (manpower, materials, tools, equipment).
  • Identifying potential improvements or concerns related to ride/device operation and maintenance and reporting findings.
  • Assisting in achieving annual certification/recertification of attraction rides/devices by the Independent Body (IB).
  • Executing high-level annual maintenance with precision, ensuring peak operational performance.
  • Participating in evacuation procedures when needed and reporting feedback.
  • Conducting duty shift inspections of tools and equipment in accordance with SEVEN's policies, reporting any "out of calibration" or damaged equipment.
  • Complying with the Learning and Development training strategy, attending training, and maintaining training records.
  • Adhering to all QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Using consumables efficiently with minimal waste and maintaining a clean and workable environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering Certificate or similar diploma in an electrical field (Electro-Mechanical or related is advantageous)

Professional Certifications:

  • NEBOSH certification is advantageous but not mandatory

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in the leisure and attractions industry (preferably in theme park/FEC industry)
  • Experience in major ride/device maintenance activities is advantageous, including annual REHAB (preferably on complex roller coasters).
