Job Summary:

We are looking for a Data Management & Curation Specialist (Fresh Graduate) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing, curating, and managing datasets for machine learning applications in retail. You will work with data from grocery stores, traditional trade, and modern trade environments, ensuring that the data is structured, cleaned, and labeled correctly for AI model training.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Preparation & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and structure raw retail data for machine learning models.
2. Data Curation: Organize and maintain labeled datasets, ensuring high quality and consistency.
3. Data Annotation: Work with labeling tools to annotate images, transactions, and other data types for AI training.
4. Data Validation & Quality Control: Identify errors, missing values, and inconsistencies in data and apply corrective measures.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and retail analysts to improve data quality and ensure it meets model training requirements.
6. Retail Data Insights: Understand key retail store metrics, including inventory tracking, product placement, and sales patterns, to ensure datasets accurately represent the retail environment.
7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of data processing workflows and create reports on dataset quality and coverage.

Qualifications:

1. Fresh graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and data cleaning techniques.
3. Familiarity with Python, SQL, or Excel for data manipulation is a plus.
4. Basic knowledge of machine learning workflows and data annotation tools (e.g., Roboflow, LabelImg) is an advantage.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
6. Ability to work with large datasets and maintain data accuracy.
7. Interest in retail analytics, AI, and automation.
8. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Nice to Have

1. Experience with photo editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP).
2. Proficiency with data software like Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
3. Hands-on experience with labeling software such as Roboflow for data annotation.
4. Basic knowledge of Python for data processing and automation tasks.
5. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for data storage and processing.
6. Understanding of traditional and modern trade retail models and their data structures.
