Position Purpose:

A growing casual dining group in Saudi Arabia, offering a blend of Asian cuisines, is seeking an experienced and practical Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to oversee daily operations across its restaurant and catering services. The GM will be responsible for managing overall performance, ensuring smooth operational flow, and maintaining high standards in service, food quality, and team productivity.

This role involves leading multiple teams, supervising financial performance, and supporting business growth through effective planning and execution. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in restaurant management, a clear understanding of operational best practices, and the ability to guide teams toward achieving business goals.

Main Responsibilities of the Restaurant General Manager:
  • Lead and oversee all restaurant and catering operations to ensure consistently high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Set operational goals and KPIs for location managers and monitor performance against these targets.
  • Manage and optimize day-to-day operations, including food production, staffing, supply chain, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian health and safety regulations, labor laws, and internal company standards.
  • Oversee inventory and cost control, ensuring efficiency in procurement and minimal waste.
  • Handle high-level customer interactions and resolve complex service issues to protect the brand reputation.
  • Develop and implement operational systems and SOPs to ensure consistency across all locations.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and P&L statements for each outlet.
  • Analyze financial performance and take corrective actions to meet revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of restaurant managers and key personnel.
  • Build and sustain a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork across all levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, customer satisfaction, and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with owners and senior leadership on long-term business strategy, including expansion plans.
  • Identify market trends and customer insights to support menu innovation and service enhancement.
  • Manage new restaurant openings and special projects, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Partner with marketing and brand teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and seasonal events.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven track record in multi-unit restaurant management, catering operations, or both.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Deep knowledge of restaurant operations and guest service best practices.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of POS and inventory systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic language skills are a plus.
