A leading healthcare institution in Riyadh seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform standard laboratory procedures and assist in experiments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree and is expected to help with sample collection, maintain laboratory cleanliness, and follow safety regulations. No prior experience is needed with a BSc, while 2 years is required with an Associate Degree.
Summary
Performs standard laboratory procedures; carries out sample collection and data entry and analysis; conducts field research or care for laboratory animals if needed; tracks laboratory supplies and orders; and provides help to students and trainees.
1.Performs laboratory experiments utilizing standard techniques and equipment as directed by supervisor.
2.Prepares chemical solutions and reagents needed for experiments.
3.Assists with sample collection and handling laboratory animals as needed.
4.Maintains experimental data and laboratory reports/procedures.
5.Orders and maintains sufficient laboratory supplies and materials.
6.Keeps general tidiness andlaboratory cleanliness.
7.Helps students and trainees in basic laboratory techniques.
8.Follows all laboratorysafety rules and regulations.
9.Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
10.Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
11.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Associate Degree Diploma from an accredited institution in a scientific discipline relevant to the research field is required.
No experience with Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree or two (2) years with Associate Degree/ Diploma is required.
*Evidence of good level of technical, managerial, communication and computer skills and accomplishments that need to be described and scored by his/her immediate supervisor in the Scientific Scoring Form.
*Proof of working knowledge in the Research Centre & Hospital safety measures such as biological, radiological, and/or chemical in form of certificates. If not available, then a letter from the immediate supervisor stating the candidate working knowledge in the relevant field.
