Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Head of MEAP Repair Engineering is a dedicated, technical, customer-facing leader focused on developing unique repair solutions for engineered-to-order turbomachinery. You will primarily focus on developing our service center repair business, including strategic planning, managing regional repair engineers, developing tools and programs, providing technical support, organizational development, process governance, and supporting regional marketing and sales activities.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead and guide the regional service center engineering teams to ensure timely repairs and operation of customer fleets. This involves managing departmental budgets, driving absorption and utilization targets, maintaining project assignments and capacity planning, supporting investigations, reducing non-conformance costs, assisting with market and sales quotations, and resolving technical issues related to fleet repair methodologies.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Establish strategic and operational objectives for the repair engineering department. Develop annual budgets aligned with company targets.
  • Lead, assign, and develop operational and management staff. Support the development and harmonization of engineering policies and procedures.
  • Improve work processes, instructions, and tools related to engineering. Continuously enhance existing processes and develop new ones as needed.
  • Ensure engineering work complies with repair standards, project requirements, customer specifications, and relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for repair engineering activities. Monitor project costs and progress.
  • Promote digitalization and productivity improvements. Support regionalization of repair operations and knowledge transfer within service centers.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, business administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent management experience preferred. 10+ years in service businesses or repair operations.
  • High tact and professionalism, capable of interacting with management, shop personnel, and clients.
  • Strategic problem solver with strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Understanding of turbo machinery principles, operations, and maintenance. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Travel requirement of 15-20%.
