Regulatory Senior Advisor

Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor guidance towards long-term objectives. They may act as internal consultants and facilitators, providing guidance to deliver and perform operational activities.

Their main operational role includes answering complex queries, advising stakeholders on Customs issues, setting guidelines for the legal support ticketing system, and monitoring its implementation to ensure all criteria are met and fully functional.

Job Responsibilities

1. Advisory Support Planning
2. Develop legal support ticketing systems, including knowledge management, and recommend improvements for resolving Customs queries efficiently.
3. Conduct Customs studies to enhance ZATCA's practices, policies, and procedures.
4. Stay updated on the Customs ecosystem domestically and internationally, including regulations, documents, and processes.

1. Advisory Support Implementation and Follow-Up
2. Handle queries related to Customs laws, ensuring prompt and compliant responses, escalating complex cases as needed.
3. Maintain and update Customs FAQ databases to improve taxpayer experience and reduce response time.
4. Analyze queries and feedback to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
5. Track performance against legal support targets, report progress, and suggest improvements.
6. Prepare performance reports and participate in meetings with regulatory bodies and government entities.

Organization and Operations

• Follow relevant policies and procedures for consistent work execution.
• Assist in solving escalated problems and support junior staff to ensure efficiency.
• Escalate complex issues appropriately and perform other duties as assigned.

People Management

• Train junior staff to transfer knowledge.
• Provide clear direction, prioritize, delegate, and monitor workflow.
• Support staff in executing duties according to policies and processes.
