Job Purpose:
The Regional Trade Marketing Supervisor is responsible for executing trade marketing strategies to drive brand visibility, market share, and sales performance within the assigned region. This role ensures the effective implementation of trade marketing programs, in-store activations, and promotional campaigns in alignment with national marketing strategies. The position involves close collaboration with sales teams, distributors, and key retail partners to optimize trade execution, category management, and merchandising effectiveness. Additionally, the role includes monitoring market trends, analyzing trade performance, and providing actionable insights to enhance consumer engagement and business growth.
Accountabilities:
- Trade Marketing Execution: Implement trade marketing strategies and promotional activities to enhance brand presence and sales growth in the region.
- Retail and Channel Activation: Develop and execute trade activations, in-store visibility initiatives, and category management plans to optimize product placement and consumer engagement.
- Sales Support: Work closely with the regional sales team to ensure alignment between trade marketing activities and sales objectives, providing the necessary tools and materials for effective execution.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and shopper behavior to provide insights that drive trade marketing initiatives and sales performance.
- Promotional Campaigns: Plan and execute regional trade promotions, ensuring proper implementation and performance tracking to maximize return on investment.
- Merchandising & POSM Management: Oversee the deployment and utilization of point-of-sale materials (POSM), ensuring brand consistency and effective in-store execution.
- Budget & Compliance: Manage regional trade marketing budgets efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and promotional guidelines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, sales, supply chain, and distributors to ensure smooth execution of trade initiatives and alignment with business goals.
- Performance Tracking: Evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing programs through key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting insights, and recommending improvements.
- Retailer & Distributor Engagement: Develop strong relationships with key retail and distribution partners to enhance brand representation and trade execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or merchandising within an FMCG environment.
- Experience in working with key accounts, distributors, and retailers in the region.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of trade marketing strategies, category management, and retail execution.
- Proficiency in analyzing market trends, sales data, and consumer insights to drive strategic decisions.
