Job Description - Regional Cooling Service Engineer (009H56)

Regional Cooling Service Engineer - 009H56

Perform Startup & Commissioning on all equipment across the entire cooling product range.

Responsibilities include:

1. Evaluate unit installation (e.g., the quality of pipes for in units and the hydraulic circuit for chillers);
2. Evaluate system's installation & operational conditions;
3. Perform onsite adjustments to optimize unit performance;
4. Identify failure causes related to quality, software, or operational issues (Root Cause Analysis);
5. Collaborate with other Schneider Electric service engineers & partners during site interventions;
6. Document, label, and return defective parts to the designated disposal/repair location;
7. Train customers on basic equipment operations;
8. Perform preventive & corrective maintenance for cooling systems.

Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding of HVAC principles, specifically cooling, and basic electrical knowledge;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Compliance with all safety policies, practices, and procedures;
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulations;
• Strong report writing and communication skills;
• Problem-solving skills with ability to interpret technical instructions;
• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 70% of the time;
• University degree in Mechanical or Electrotechnical engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in commissioning or field service repair of HVAC or cooling equipment;
• Experience with cooling equipment & solutions, including air cooling, air- or water-cooled chillers;
• Experience with precision cooling is advantageous;
• Experience with HVAC, generators, fire detection/suppression systems;
• Fluent in English (B2+ level minimum);
• Flexibility, reliability, customer focus, teamwork, leadership skills;
• Proficiency with MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD.
