A Receptionist provides reception services for guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.

What will I be doing?

As a Receptionist, you will provide reception services for guests to ensure an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. Your responsibilities include:

  • Achieving positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring an efficient reception experience, including check-in/out and audit procedures
  • Keeping the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors informed of relevant guest feedback and departmental updates
  • Demonstrating high levels of customer service at all times
  • Attending training courses as required and assisting with the training and development of night team members
  • Having knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and general product information
  • Maximizing room occupancy and promoting hotel services through up-selling techniques
  • Following correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash, in line with hotel policies
  • Complying with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Operating front-of-house equipment and property management systems according to policies and procedures
  • Following company brand standards
  • Assisting other departments as necessary
