Job description

The overall scope of this role is to ensure that Hotel Goods are received as per the specifications requested.

Responsibilities
  1. Follow and understand all Kempinski Policies & Procedures.
  2. Maintain professional and harmonious conduct, adhering to the Kempinski code of conduct.
  3. Receive all goods, verifying each item against specifications, prices, and purchase orders.
  4. Ensure proper handling and hygiene standards for food goods received.
  5. Stamp, date, and sign off on all received goods.
  6. Enter received goods into the system when necessary.
  7. Check the temperature and transport conditions of vendor trucks.
  8. Create daily receiving reports.
  9. Communicate any issues or delays with ordered goods to the relevant departments.
  10. Keep the loading dock organized and clean at all times.
  11. Assist purchasing staff during inventories.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management and support other areas of Purchasing as needed.
  13. Report discrepancies or potential problems to the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications

Education: High School/College education or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1-3 years in purchasing, receiving, or storeroom functions.

Language Skills: Excellent oral and written skills in the local language and English; additional languages are beneficial.

Competencies: Attention to high-volume handling, effective communication, relationship building, organizational skills, professionalism, safety consciousness.

Technical Skills: Computer literacy (Excel, Word), experience with relevant software, knowledge of food handling and quality control, compliance with local regulations.
