Job description

The Application Support Specialist will contribute to the successful and timely support and deployment of the TrakCare product by providing application knowledge in the functional areas of product support, requirements scoping, field design documentation, and change request testing. The Applications Support Specialist will act as an ''expert'' product resource for our partners.

As an Application Support Specialist, you must be a creative, motivated, and energetic problem-solver. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading organizations in healthcare. This position encourages and prepares you for other growth opportunities within the organization.

A mentor will help you identify and develop your application, professional, and personal skills for a successful career. Depending on your experience, the training program can include classroom learning, e-learning, projects, and external courses. Your mentor will also help familiarize you with the InterSystems environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate response to customer inquiries in accordance with service standards.
  • Support current installed customer base.
  • Act as a link between customers and the InterSystems Global Support organization.
  • Understand customer work processes and requirements to address them via the TrakCare application.
  • Provide application support for the TrakCare Hospital Management System.
  • Support the TrakCare application to meet business requirements following InterSystems methodologies and processes.
  • Escalate unresolved problems as per policies.
  • Conduct training, product demonstrations, and workshops as needed.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by soliciting and escalating product and service suggestions.
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for TrakCare.
  • Enhance response time through improved communication, analytical, and learning skills.
  • Work with partners to identify potential product changes if required.
  • Participate in on-site support if necessary.
  • Participate in the 24-hour on-call roster service.

Qualifications:

  • Problem-solving aptitude and experience with technology to improve processes.
  • Experience in product solutions support.
  • Experience with Hospital Information Systems.
  • Ability to think laterally and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience in software roles such as Developer, Quality Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Proven success working with diverse customer groups.
  • Understanding of Hospital Information, Patient Administration Systems, Billing, and Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Knowledge of Health Informatics standards, reporting, and legislative controls.

Education and Training:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent, or relevant business experience as specified in the vacancy.
