Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of conventional railway and freight rail programs. You will oversee construction execution, coordinate multiple packages, and drive safe, on-time delivery across complex interfaces while ensuring compliance with project specs, quality, and HSE standards.

The role requires deep railway construction experience, top-tier leadership, and proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in live environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 20+ years in major infrastructure/construction projects.
• Strong experience in conventional railway and freight rail projects essential.
• Proven delivery leadership on large multi-package programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery of railway program across multiple packages.
• Drive site execution strategies for safe, efficient delivery.
• Coordinate construction teams, subcontractors and package managers.
• Ensure integration between engineering, procurement, planning and controls.
• Monitor progress and implement recovery plans to address delays.
• Manage site risks, interfaces, and constructability issues.
• Lead reviews, progress meetings and reporting for transparent decisions.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and HSE regulations.
• Support bid and post-award execution planning.
• Act as main contact for stakeholders and client on delivery matters.
• Promote safety culture and delivery excellence.
• Support testing, commissioning readiness and handover activities.
