Job description

Perform diagnostic radiographs, daily maintenance of x-ray equipment and room, daily maintenance of x-ray film processor and handles processing of radiology request, radiology reports and x-ray films and ensures strict compliance with any rules or regulations that apply to the clinic.

Accountabilities

  • Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

The employee's duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

Working Days: 6 Working Days
Days off: 1 Day Off
Working Hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department

Job Requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Science, Radiology section.

Experience:

  • 2 years of practical experience following graduation.

Computer Skills:

  • Office & Health Information System.

Languages:

  • English and Arabic (fluent speaking and writing).
