Radiology Technician Opportunity - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Overview:
- Start at the duty time at 08:00 until 16:00 or according to the departmental schedule.
- Check all rooms are operational on the system and perform calibration if needed.
- Follow the room rotation schedule as directed by the technical director.
- Clean the machine table and control panels.
- Ensure the detector battery is fully charged and hand over to the next shift.
- Verify the patient's details and order in the RIS (Radiology Information System).
- Confirm patient's identity using full name and ID band, especially in the emergency department.
- For female patients, check the Last Menstrual Period (LMP).
- Verify the procedure's legal and safety requirements before starting.
- Position the patient correctly and select the procedure in the machine software.
- Check if the machine detector is ready.
- Provide instructions to the patient to ensure cooperation and avoid repeats.
- Review the images, adjust markers, and set window width and level as needed.
- Send images to the PACS system and verify receipt.
- Transmit the exam results accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from a recognized medical school with MD, MBBCh, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Radiology, compliant with Saudi Council regulations.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum three years of relevant post-graduation experience.
- Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties License as a Registrar.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
