Job description

Radiology Technician Opportunity - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Overview:

  1. Start at the duty time at 08:00 until 16:00 or according to the departmental schedule.
  2. Check all rooms are operational on the system and perform calibration if needed.
  3. Follow the room rotation schedule as directed by the technical director.
  4. Clean the machine table and control panels.
  5. Ensure the detector battery is fully charged and hand over to the next shift.
  6. Verify the patient's details and order in the RIS (Radiology Information System).
  7. Confirm patient's identity using full name and ID band, especially in the emergency department.
  8. For female patients, check the Last Menstrual Period (LMP).
  9. Verify the procedure's legal and safety requirements before starting.
  10. Position the patient correctly and select the procedure in the machine software.
  11. Check if the machine detector is ready.
  12. Provide instructions to the patient to ensure cooperation and avoid repeats.
  13. Review the images, adjust markers, and set window width and level as needed.
  14. Send images to the PACS system and verify receipt.
  15. Transmit the exam results accordingly.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate from a recognized medical school with MD, MBBCh, or equivalent.
  2. Master’s degree or equivalent in Radiology, compliant with Saudi Council regulations.

Professional Experience:

  1. Minimum three years of relevant post-graduation experience.
  2. Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties License as a Registrar.

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Proficiency in English is essential.
  2. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
