Job Description

  • Conduct regular inspections of airport radiation devices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive radiation safety programs tailored to airport operations and specific devices.
  • Monitor environmental radiation levels, maintaining accurate records and reporting any discrepancies to relevant authorities.
  • Provide training and guidance to airport staff on safe handling and operational procedures for radiation devices.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to stay updated on changes in legislation and best practices in radiation protection.
  • Investigate incidents involving radiation exposure and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Prepare detailed reports on radiation safety activities, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
  • Assess and analyze radiation risk assessments related to new airport technologies or infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of radiation devices and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Act as a liaison between airport management, staff, and external agencies regarding radiation protection matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is essential.
  • Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in radiation safety, particularly in airport or industrial settings.
  • Proven knowledge of local and international radiation safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus.
