Quantity Surveyor (QS) Facilities Management

We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor (QS) with strong Facilities Management (FM) experience to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in supporting our client s FM operations through effective cost management, contract administration, tendering, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both traditional QS duties and the unique commercial demands of FM.

Key Responsibilities:

FM-Focused Cost Management:

• Manage and track FM-related budgets, lifecycle costs, maintenance expenditures, and capital works in a live operational environment.
• Lead and support the full tender process for FM services and fit-out projects, including supplier benchmarking, bid evaluations, and contract recommendations.

Contracts & Commercial Governance:

• Draft, review, and manage FM service contracts and fit-out project agreements. Ensure all terms are compliant with corporate and legal standards.

Fit-Out & Project Support:

• Provide commercial support during fit-out works, including cost estimating, contractor liaison, change control, and final account preparation.
• Validate invoices, manage payment applications, and ensure financial compliance across FM service lines and capital projects.

Benchmarking & Market Analysis:

• Regularly assess and benchmark FM costs and contractor performance to drive value and inform strategic decisions.

Reporting & Forecasting:

• Prepare commercial reports, budget forecasts, and cost plans to support internal decision-making and client reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5 10 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 2 3 years in a Facilities Management (FM) or operational asset environment
• Demonstrated experience in fit-out projects, commercial contracts, tendering processes, invoice management, and cost control
• A degree in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is required
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Familiarity with FM service contracts, SLAs, and performance-based models
• Previous experience working client-side or with FM service providers is highly desirable
