A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Jeddah. The successful candidate will conduct inspections, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and maintain documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in food technology or related fields and relevant certifications.

Job description

Job Description:

Responsible for conducting line inspections, process control monitoring, GMP checks, food safety & Quality inspections including CCP, oPRP checks, specification parameter verification and record maintenance for future references.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Physical, chemical testing in raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  2. Ensure that all products meet the required specifications and standards.
  3. Monitor temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors during production and storage.
  4. Inspect packaging materials and finished goods for compliance with specifications.
  5. Inspect food production lines and storage conditions to ensure product safety.
  6. Monitor and record all process parameters like CCPs, oPRPs, QCP and other spec parameters.
  7. Conduct product sensory evaluations.
  8. Maintain records of all tests and inspections conducted.
  9. Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and up to date to comply with regulatory bodies.
  10. Assist in developing quality assurance documentation and procedures.
  11. Ensure that all food products comply with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  12. Assist in internal and external audits.
  13. Maintain knowledge of relevant food safety standards and regulations (e.g., SFDA, ISO, HACCP, BRCGS, customer audit standards).
  14. Identify trends in quality issues and work with production and R&D teams to address and resolve them.
  15. Collaborate with other departments to improve product quality and consistency.
  16. Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  17. Troubleshoot equipment issues and report any malfunctions.

Experience and Skills:

  1. Certification and knowledge in HACCP and Food safety.
  2. Experience and certifications in BRCGS, ISO22000, ISO14001, Halal etc, as preferred.
  3. Knowledge in regulatory standards and applicable requirements.
  4. Proficient in computer and MS office applications.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in data analysis.
  7. In-depth knowledge in process monitoring, CCP, oPRP checks and record keeping.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Food science, veterinary science or related educational qualification.
  2. More than 2 years of work experience in a quality control or food safety role in a manufacturing industry.
