Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To assist chemist in sampling of Raw Materials and finished product, maintaining lab cleanliness, distributing reports, maintaining files and reference samples.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Assist chemist in acquiring samples of incoming raw material and finished products following sampling guidelines.
  • Aid chemist in inspection of raw and packaging materials (including vehicles if needed) and finished products analysis (samples grinding, lab ware readiness).
  • File RM inspection reports, weak link reports and distribute (as appropriate) after due signatures.
  • Assist chemist in maintaining lab cleanliness.
  • Assist chemist for meeting the requirements of development projects.
  • Keep reference samples of RM and finished products.
  • Handle incidences related to RM and finished products, including isolating and labelling Hold pallets.
  • Implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the OH&S Management System at the area of responsibility in accordance with legislations, PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks.

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

  • Lab cleanliness
  • Timely issue of reports (no sampling delay)
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year working experience in a manufacturing plant’s lab. This can be waived for candidates with a very good attitude and inclination for learning.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Willing to learn and work in a team.
