We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer, who will assure quality requirements for the organization. He identifies and drives continuous improvement projects by data analysis, inspections, and testing.

The Quality Engineer actively builds and spreads quality awareness within the organization by giving training and sharing best business practices. S/he supports the Quality Manager with the deployment of KONE’s quality strategy, governance, and goals.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Prioritize quality performance improvement based on data analysis.
  2. Use continuous improvement methodologies to investigate non-conformances and determine root cause, identify corrective actions, and drive actions to closure.
  3. Create and analyze large datasets from multiple platforms and analyze trends.
  4. Support the Quality Manager with target setting.
  5. Perform in-process or product inspections and execute measures, tests, sampling methods, and other procedures to validate that requirements are met.
  6. Maintain and update quality records required by the quality procedures.
  7. Share skills and knowledge with the organization about quality methodology and tools and ensure they understand and develop the capability to execute the learnings with established quality procedures and standards.
  8. Support the quality manager with internal and external audits.
  9. Coordinate preventive and corrective actions of Quality Improvement teams in her/his area.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  2. 4 to 5 Years of Experience in the Elevators & Escalators industry with a proven track record in a similar role.
  3. Quality Certificate ISO 9001 is recommended.
  4. Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  5. Superb computer skills, including database management.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  7. Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
  8. Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA.
  9. Excellent skills in computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
